The Flexcon Expansion Water Tank PH 12 is constructed of 16 gauge solid steel finished with the highest quality urethane paint for added protection and durability. The 4.8 gallon tank provides a reservoir for the water to expand and is capable of maintaining safe pressures in a domestic water heating system that utilizes a backflow preventer or check valve. A 100% Butyl Rubber Diaphragm in conjunction with a polypropylene liner separates the system water from the tank's air pre-charge, effectively eliminating built up system pressure. It's steel clench ring regulates movement while preventing the diaphragm from rubbing against the tank wall ensuring durability as well as reliability.
